I first learned about art licensing nearly ten years ago and ever since, it was a goal of mine to have my art licensed. I took courses online, learned Adobe Creative Suite (well, am still learning it!) and kept making more art. When I made this 4" by 6" painting on wood panel using acrylic gouache and marker, I had no idea that this very small artwork would lead to a very big dream coming true.
In 2023, Kelly of Villager Puzzles reached out to let me know that she was starting a puzzle company featuring Canadian women artists, and that she wanted to use my artwork for one of the five puzzles in her first collection. This is the artwork that Kelly chose and although it made for a very challenging puzzle, all 500 sold out and it led to my very first licensing opportunity.
I am always looking for more licensing opportunities so if you feel that my artwork would be a good fit for your company and products, please feel free to reach out.
